Veterinary Technicians

Job Summary:
The trained Veterinary Technician will work in a fast-paced and every-changing environment to provide exemplary customer service to our clients and his/her pets.
Responsibilities / Duties:
Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments;
Recording patient history, taking vitals;
Educate owners, discuss treatment plans, as well as estimates and payment options;
Acquire blood samples, specimens. Be able to process specimens using in-house laboratory or submit to outside laboratory;
Assist in medical procedures, insert IV catheters, proficiency in induction and monitoring of anesthesia, ventilators, fluid therapy;
Prepare surgical room and patient for surgery
Proper cleaning/sterilization of medical and surgical equipment/instruments;
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a veterinary hospital setting. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, or equivalent;
Demonstrated knowledge of working within a veterinary practice, terminology and procedures;
Possess clear and concise oral and written communication skills;
Possess exemplary customer service acumen;
Work well independently and within a team;
Must be dependable, responsible, able to multi-task, possess good time-management skills.
Compensation:
$20.00 - $35.00 per hour, DOE

Monday through Friday (Practice is open from 8:00AM – 6:00PM)
