Company Profile:

Our client, a local commercial diving manufacturing company, is seeking a Fiberglass Laminator/Finisher to join our Fiberglass Department.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Fiberglass Laminator / Finisher will laminate and finish 18 frames or helmet shells for diving equipment, while maintaining tools and equipment utilized.

Responsibilities:

Prepare molds using clay for seams and wan entire mold;

Mix gel coat and catalyst; Spray gel coat with spray gun;

Cut patterns of fiberglass material using shears;

Mix resin and catalyst and laminate fiberglass material to inside of painted mold;

Ability to finish lamination process with little to no error;

Pull part from mold and examine for defects, such as cracks and holes; make necessary repairs using fiberglass material, miller fibers, or gel coat;

Grind excess materials using power tools; drill holes in helmets, or frames;

Wet sand and polish helmet shells, or frames;

Maintain molds by cleaning, buffing and waxing on a regular basis;

Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience:

High School Diploma, required;

At least 6 months’ experience in a manufacturing company, preferred;

Ability to work efficiently and safely with each product to meet inspection;

Must have prior experience using hand and power tools with accuracy and precision;

Ability to maintain good working relations with all departments;

Accuracy and precision, required;

Ability to multi-task, while completing all assigned duties efficiently and in a timely manner;

Proficient team player;

Astute attention to detail, essential;

Must be highly motivated and a self-starter.

Compensation:

$14 .00 per hour, with benefits.

Working Hours:

8:00AM – 4:30PM with half an hour for lunch, Monday through Friday
