Business Development Manager - Healthcare Industry

Job Summary: 

The Business Development Manager will develop and manage new business growth opportunities, as well as managing existing relationships within a designated territory. 

Responsibilities: 

Work with marketing team to build professional relationships with provider practices, including but not limited to primary care providers, pain management clinics and physical therapy practices; 

Build upon and utilize new and existing relationships with individual providers and healthcare organizations;

Communicate effectively with leadership on known or perceived issues and/or concerns from patients or referral partners;

Effectively manage assigned budget, monitor and metrics initiatives; report results and provide relevant recommendations;

Represent the clinic and its services at professional events, tradeshows, conferences and health fairs;

Coordinate site visits for spine surgeons in multiple locations;

Develop, manage and communicate work plans and timelines for key projects;

Compile and submit weekly reports to leadership;

Develop, plan and execute patient-centric internal / external communications;

Participate in business planning meetings, budgeting and other projects, as required;

Identify any work-related issues, provide resolution recommendations and implement appropriate solutions;

Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications or related discipline, preferred;

At least 3-5 years of experience in sales, marketing and/or relationship management (within the healthcare industry);

Possess a good understanding of the Minnesota local healthcare market;

Strong organizational, attention to detail, multi-tasking, time management and analytical skills;

Astute oral, written and interpersonal skills; 

Professional demeanor and excellent presentation and customer service skills;   

Proficient problem solver and ability to work in innovative and creative ways to accomplish goals;

Ability to work effectively within a team environment, as well as independently;

At least 2-3 years of experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products;

Ability to study for and pass periodic knowledge-based tests on clinical and business topics related to the position;

Ability to analyze disparate sets of data and communicate impact on growth of organization.

Compensation:

$80K annual base salary for this full-time exempt position, plus goal-base incentive program;

Benefits to include health, dental, vision, life insurance and safe harbor 401(k) with an annual 3% company match.

Working Hours:

Monday through Friday on a fluctuating schedule
