ACH / Wires Specialist, E-Services - Community Credit Union

Job Summary:
Reporting to the E-Services Director, the ACH / Wires Specialist is responsible for daily ACH and share-draft exceptions, late return share-draft, ACH, return check items, ACH stop payments, processing levies, inputting/posting/verifying incoming/outgoing wires, processing negative share account mailings and account closures, using Payments Exchange software. In addition, this person will maintain records pertaining to record retention and may cross-train on credit card duties.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Process daily ACH, share draft exception files, wire verifications, coordinate workflow/scheduling, optimize availability, in accordance with established SCCCU policies/procedures and adherence with related rules, laws and regulations;
Complete ACH and share-draft returns/stops, in a timely and accurate manner;
Input wires and verify wire entries with accuracy in a timely manner;
Process levies; hold funds on accounts levied, while maintaining documentation; issue checks to government agencies and disburse accordingly;
Mail letters to members, in connection negative accounts and close as necessary;
Maintain records and documents necessary for audits.
Qualifications:
At least high school diploma; AA / AS Degree preferred;
At least 6 months of recent and relevant experience in a similar role;
Experience working with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations;
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products, 10-key calculator and standard office equipment;
Attend and/or participate in ongoing compliance training and other job-related training;
Ability to work effectively alone and within a team environment, in a fast-paced, diverse environment and perform efficiently under pressure;
Exemplary time management, organizational, attention to detail, multi-tasking, problem-solving, research, analytical, customer service and follow-through skills;
Exemplary oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
Holder of valid CA driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation;
Must be able to be bondable.
Compensation:
$20.34 - $30.51 per hour DOE, for this full-time non-exempt position.
