JOB SUMMARY: 

Due to company growth, a new HR Generalist position is being created.  The ideal candidate will assume responsibility for human resources functions for  clients assigned to that person.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Consult with clients and employees in connection with employee relation issues and employment compliance;

Conduct related research, as needed;

Assist with employee fact-finding processes;

Take an active role in employee disciplinary issues, as needed;

Draft company handbooks, e-mails, memos, documents, policies and procedures for clients;

Continually remain current on ever-changing employment laws;

Act in a back-up capacity for the talent acquisition / recruiting service of the business;

Perform other duties as assigned. 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: 

At least 5 years of hands-on experience as an HR Generalist, including recruiting experience;

Bachelor’s Degree in HR management, or related discipline, preferred;

Exceptional computer and software skills; proficiency in MS Word and Excel and HRIS software applications;

Exceptional organizational, attention to detail, effective multi-tasking time management and follow-through skills;

Ability to work effectively in a past-faced environment alone and within a team environment;

Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.  

COMPENSATION: 

$31.25 - $40.87 per hour, DOE, for this full-time non-exempt position.

WORKING HOURS: 

8:00AM – 5:00PM Monday - Friday 

LOCATION: 

Remote – Must live in the Santa Barbara/Goleta, Camarillo, Carpinteria, or Ventura area  to be able to go to client sites in those geographies.
