Pacific Coast Well Drilling has earned significant recognition in the California groundwater development industry, specializing in providing deep-well water turnkey drilling solutions for municipal, agricultural and large-scale commercial projects.  

Job Summary: 

Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Diesel Technician will make major / minor engine repairs, work on vehicles’ electrical and exhaust systems to comply with pollution regulations; perform regular maintenance thereon. 

Responsibilities / Duties: 

Communication:

Perform a morning, lunch and end of day check-in with Manager;

Attend maintenance meetings;

Submit daily time worked through I-Pad;

Track tasks and time worked on equipment through Equipment 360 site. 

Technician:

Keep all equipment and engines serviced on schedule;

Perform basic welding/fabrication for equipment/job parts;

Complete work orders by due date and type of service;

Perform DOT inspections; identify and perform preventative maintenance;

Perform Equipment 360 inspections accurately via an I-Pad;

Create work orders for any identified issues;

Order and stock parts;

Maintain parts cage and filters supply;

Utilize approval and purchase order system. 

Compliance:

Work with Accounting Department in connection with equipment compliance;

Perform ARB hour collection and Equipment 360 maintenance in connection with compliance documents;

Perform weekly inspections of the yard oil storage supply. 

Qualifications: 

High school diploma or GED;

1 year automotive or lube technician experience; 

Possess basic computer skills and ability to use an I-Pad;

Possess basic welding and fabrication skills, a plus;

Experience working with small electrical components, engine repair, diesel, or heavy equipment, a plus;

Class C CA driver’s license, with clean, insurable record;

Ability to lift objects in excess of 50lbs, crouch, kneel and stand for extended hours;

Ability to work effectively alone and within a fast-paced team environment;

Exceptional time management, attention to detail, problem-solving, organizational, planning and follow-through skills;

Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;

Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical. 

Working Hours:

7:00AM – 3:30PM Monday – Friday, with overtime, if necessary 

Compensation:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour DOE, for this full-time, non-exempt position.
