Line Technician - Central Coast Jet Center

Central Coast Jet Center is a family business and truly feels like one.  We provide the services of fueling aircraft such as Osprey helicopters, T-38 jets, Gulfstream jets, small Cesna planes, etc. and also lease hangar space for tenants to store their aircraft at our facility.

The Kunkle family owns and operates the company and a love of aviation runs in their blood.  Although the Jet Center has continued to diversify its operations over the years, the quality of service, attention to detail and the love of aviation that defines the Jet Center, still remains today.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Line Service Supervisor, the Line Technician will execute all duties related to aircraft ground support including fueling, towing, marshaling, while providing exceptional customer service to our clients.  This is an excellent opportunity for accelerated growth within the aviation industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Fuel, tow and marshal private, commercial and military aircraft;

Move fuel from storage to aircraft at various locations positioned on the site;

Assume responsibility for quality control and safety initiatives encompassed within the role;

Properly and safety dispose of completed paperwork;

Assume responsibility for the facility maintenance and upkeep and ensure that everything is clean and tidy;

Provide exemplary customer service;

Act as an ambassador for the company in promoting its services to our clients;

Attend periodic crew and safety meetings;

Engage and participate in annual recurrent training;

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience within a fueling position and/or aviation experience, preferred; will train;

Mathematical skills required;

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds in weight;

Exceptional oral and written communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, time management and follow-through skills;

Ability to work effectively within a high-intensity environment and change direction quickly, as necessary;

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and ongoing random testing;

Possess a valid driver’s license, with a clean and insurance record;

Ability to pass a TSA background security check. 

Working Hours:

8-hour daily variable shifts including weekends and holidays.

Compensation:

$17.00 per hour to start with overtime available.
