Events Assistant - Ancient Peaks Winery - Oyster Ridge Barn

Job Summary: 

Reporting to the Event Manager, the Special Events Assistant will support all aspects of the special events hosted in the Oyster Ridge Barn on the Ancient Peaks winery property, in an effort to ensure a rich client experience, build client loyalty and reflect the brand’s essence.  Principal functions will include showing the Oyster Ridge Barn to potential clients, being well-versed on the Oyster Ridge Barn’s history, ownership, operation, rules, standards, processes and pricing and being an integral team member while working the events.  In addition, cross train on Ancient Peaks tasting room coverage, as well as sales of merchandise and other related functions, as needed, during times of non-event schedules.

Responsibilities / Duties: 

In addition to the above:

Participate and assist in setting up and breaking down equipment used for events;

Empty trash, recycling and bus tables, as needed;

Maintain cleanliness of event areas and restrooms;

Uphold Oyster Ridge’s rules and standards at events; be well-versed in the client contract content in knowing what is and is not allowed;

Ability to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions;

Help keep supplies current and stocked;

Organize and order any items necessary to seamlessly execute an event;.

Recap each event with management;

Perform other duties assigned by managers.

Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age and able to stand for long hours;

Ability to work effectively in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment, with proficient organizational, time-management, attention to detail and astute multi-tasking skills;

Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;

Ability to meet and exceed deadlines on a continual basis;

Exceptional customer service skills.

Working Hours:

32 hours per week, Tuesday – Saturday on a flexible schedule

Compensation:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour, plus $100 bonus for each event worked for this full-time, non-exempt position, plus benefits to include, health insurance, paid vacation/sick time; company-sponsored IRA and cell phone allowance.
