Job Summary: 

Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, the Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for driving brand awareness, site traffic and consumer retention across seymourduncan.com, all social channels and the educational platform. In collaboration with the Marketing team, the ideal candidate will develop marketing plans that deepen connections with existing online customers and attract new customers to the Seymour Duncan brand.  The person will be a  digital subject matter expert and proficient in identifying the most effective channels to drive efficient traffic, revenue-leveraging owned (e.g. email) and paid channels, while segmenting the content and engaging customers in the most relevant manner specific to them, resulting in increased visits, revenue and loyalty. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

Digital Marketing: 

Develop a 12-month digital marketing and social calendar to drive brand awareness, new customer acquisition and customer engagement, resulting in increased customer count, revenue and retention gains;

Work closely with Artist Relations team to launch, manage and grow the influencer and content creator program;

In collaboration with Marketing team, drive written and video content strategy and execution;

Participate in hosting video content with artists/educational content/new products;

Manage MarTech stack and research new integrations to  enhance customer experience and gain efficiencies; develop and implement customer lifetime value (CLV) framework and implement overall marketing analytics strategy. 

Campaign Automation Manager: 

Develop e-mail marketing strategy, including drip campaigns, segmented content and retargeting campaigns;

Work with Web Development team to guide SEO priorities, strategies, implementation and analytics for onsite optimization, link building and optimization of video assets;

Assume responsibility for ensuring strategic and accurate budgets/forecasts are developed monthly for each digital marketing program, while working closely with VP of Marketing to review and set spend, goals and key metrics annually, quarterly and monthly;

Steer future loyalty strategy development and execution to increase customer acquisition and retention;

Manage direct reports and contractors/agencies, to ensure all programs are optimized and ensure best practices are quickly adopted;

Manage website updates/developments with Web Development team and track and report on web KPIs. 

Social Media: 

Possess deep understanding of social channels including development and growth of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikToc and other leading channels;

Drive social media/YouTube strategy, campaigns, execution and reporting;

Work with Artist Relations team and artists to curate artist content for social media. 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related field;

Direct experience in digital marketing, preferably in consumer goods/music industry;

Extensive knowledge of rock and roll and its related music forms and the guitar player mindset;

Ability to seamlessly pivot back and forth in providing thoughtful insight on strategic marketing efforts and daily project management of campaigns in development;

Proven ability to innovate and lead launch of new programs and strategies;

Proficiency in working with analytics, including in-depth knowledge of online analytics IT;

Proficiency in the MS Office Suite of products;

Proficiency with a variety of relevant marketing software applications;

Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; 

Astute time management, attention to detail, organizational, planning, effective multi-tasking, problem-solving, follow-through and exceptional customer service skills;

Ability to work effectively alone and within a team environment.  

Compensation:

$80K - $120K annual base salary DOE, for this full-time, exempt position.
