Santa Cruz Community Credit Union (SCCCU) is a community-development and low-income certified credit union, serving Santa Cruz County and parts of Monterey County.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the VP of Technology & Innovation, the Database Administrator will play a pivotal role in managing SCCCU’s database systems, optimizing data reporting with core system reporting tools such as Crystal and CyberQuery Reports and spearheading automation initiatives. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, to ensure our credit union systems run efficiently, data is readily accessible, reporting processes are streamlined and reports are delivered to SCCCU’s goals and compliance deadlines.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Administer and manage internal database systems, by optimizing and organizing data that is accurate and deliverable to the business;

Design, develop and maintain Crystal Reports, to meet senior management, the Board and the multiple departments’ reporting needs;

Collaborate with end-users, senior management and department head,s to gather requirements for customized reports;

Optimize Crystal and Cyberquery Reports to improve performance and data visualization;

Identify opportunities for automation in database management and reporting processes, using internal automation tools;

Implement automation solutions to reduce manual tasks, improve accuracy and increase efficiency;

Continuously monitor and evaluate existing processes, recommendations and implementation of  improvements;

Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data within the database systems;

Develop and enforce data quality standards and best practices;

Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive member data;

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies;

Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, reports and automation workflows;

Manage data maintenance upload schedules for key organization business software and vendor management, including nCino, Wisdom, Raddon MCIF, TCT Risk Management, Tandem, website etc.;

Provide training and support to end-users on Crystal and Cyberquery Reports and database-related tasks;

Refer issues regarding policies and procedures to the Vice President of Technology and Innovation, senior management, or other department managers, as appropriate;

Participates in team and other meetings, training, discussion, and process improvement.

Prepares accurate and timely reports.

Utilize documents technical knowledge in the form of notes, manuals and updated procedures;

Maintain good working relationships with co-workers by being approachable, resourceful and  helpful.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;

Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with expertise in SQL databases;

Strong proficiency in Crystal Reports development and optimization;

Demonstrated experience in automating database and reporting processes;

Knowledge of data security, compliance and best practices;

Astute oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;

Exceptional organization, time management, attention to detail, problem solving, analytical and follow-through skills;

Self-starter, with the ability to work effectively alone and within a cohesive team environment.

Working Hours:

8:30AM – 5:00PM Monday – Friday 

Compensation:

$62,400 - $85,887 DOE, for this full-time, exempt position.
