Operations Manager - Central Coast Jet Center

Central Coast Jet Center is a family business and truly feels like one. We provide the services of fueling aircraft such as Osprey helicopters, T-38 jets, Gulfstream jets, small Cesna planes, etc. and also lease hangar space for tenants to store their aircraft at our facility.
The Kunkle family owns and operates the company and a love of aviation runs in their blood. Although the Jet Center has continued to diversify its operations over the years, the quality of service, attention to detail and the love of aviation that defines the Jet Center, still remains today.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the President, the Fixed Base Operations Manager will provide management oversight to the Line Technicians, coordinating aircraft services such as fueling, hangar rentals, ground transportation, customer service, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and maintaining operational efficiency to provide a seamless experience for our customers and their passengers.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Supervise and manage up to 7 line technicians;
Create and oversee work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and efficiency;
Provide training and regular line checks to maintain operational standards.
Fuel Operations Management:
Manage aviation fuel farms and fuel trucks;
Perform quality control checks on fuel equipment and supplies;
Conduct weekly, monthly and yearly inspections in compliance with operational guidelines.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all government and airline audit requirements;
Maintain up-to-date records and documentation for compliance inspections.
Collaboration / Leadership:
Work closely with other managers and the President to execute daily tasks and special projects;
Foster a positive and motivated work environment among staff.
Safety & Quality Assurance:
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards across all operations;
Promptly monitor and address operational to maintain service excellence.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role;
High School diploma / GED;
Ability to effectively lead and inspire a team of professionals;
Knowledge of aviation operations, fuel systems and regulatory compliance, preferred;
Knowledge of aviation industry regulations, standards and best practices, preferred;
Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
Astute negotiation, time management, analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail, decision-making, project management, customer service and multi-tasking skills.
Compensation:
$55K - $65K annual base salary DOE, for this full-time, exempt position.
